Chalkboard Bulletin Board
Crayola (R) makes this fantastic paint now called chalkboard paint. You can paint it on walls. Tables, or anything and they will instantly turn into a chalkboard surface when dry. I painted over a bulletin board for this project, giving it a dual use. If you have kids, it might be fun to paint a closet door for them.
Materials: Bulletin board, Crayola (R) chalkboard paint, brush, silver spray paint, ribbon
Total Cost: $12
Total Time: 30 minutes
Directions: First spray paint the natural wood of the frame with a flat silver spray paint and let it dry. Then paint the bulletin board surface with the chalkboard paint; at least two coats will be needed. To hang the board, you can either use nails or take a long ribbon and staple it to the back of the board with a heavy-duty staple gun. Position each end a few inches from the corners so it will hang balanced. To erase the chalkboard messages, you can use a chalkboard eraser or a wet sponge.
